劳伦斯大人...无须介绍

封面如同女子作家罗曼激情小说的一本劳伦斯中短篇集子.里面居然收有他较为少见的收山中篇《已死的男人》The Man Who Died原名The Escaped Cock.翻译平常.
劳伦斯自己说:'I wrote a story of the Resurrection, where Jesus gets up and feels very sick bout everything, and can't stand the old crowd any more - so cuts out - and as he heals up, be begins to find what an astonishing place the phenomenal world is, far more marvellous than any salvation or heaven - and thanks his stars he needn't have a mission any more.'
