课程内容：宗教是人类社会发展到一定水平出现的一种社会意识形态和社会文化现象。在21世纪的今天，宗教已成为世界各地人们生活中的一种不可忽视的力量。世界三大宗教为基督教、伊斯兰教和佛教，而其他宗教则主要为民族性或地域性宗教。中国有五大宗教，即天主教、基督教、伊斯兰教、佛教和道教。本课程将向学生介绍这五大宗教的文化和思想，并向其阐述这些宗教由民族宗教或古代宗教发展演变而来的历史轨迹。本课程还将为学生解读各宗教给人们生活方方面面打上的文化烙印，阐释其各自的文化进程和发展趋势。课程特色：宗教是一种特殊的社会意识形态，它承载着知识、智慧和人的终极关怀。通过本课程的学习，学生将增强对世界多元文化的了解，从而获得宗教文化的基本知识；本课程还启发学生学会多角度思维的方法，令他们对世界宗教信仰有理性认识。这门课程有助于培养思维方式，拓展文化视野，启发悟性。授课教师和授课对象：本课程授课教师系香港中文大学文化与宗教研究系博士毕业，曾游学于英国、新加坡、台湾等地，对中西方宗教文化的比较研究颇感兴趣，目前从事中西文化交流史领域的研究。另一主讲教师邓永忠副教授长期从事中国传统文化和中西文化对比的教学与研究，对世界宗教文化有较深的理解。本课程适合对世界宗教感兴趣的国内本科生和有志于了解世界宗教与文化的外国留学生。 Course Description The course content:Religion is the social ideology and cultural phenomenon when human society develops to a certain level. In the 21st century, religion is alive in people and places around the world, not to be ignored in people’s life. The world’s three major religions are Christianity, Islam and Buddhism. The other religions are mainly ethnic or regional religion. China has five major religions: Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and Taoism. This course will introduce to students the five major religions’ culture and thought, and describe their historical evolution track from the national religion or ancient religion. This course will illuminate the impact of religions in people’s life and their cultural developments and trends.The characteristics of the course: Religion is a special social ideology, which carries the knowledge, wisdom and ultimate care. Through the course, the students are expected to acquire the basic knowledge of world religions and their culture and learn more about the cultural diversity of the world. The course also helps students perceive religions reasonably, cultivate thinking from different dimensions, broaden the cultural horizon for study, and inspire perceptivity.The instructor and target students:Both of the instructors are experienced and qualified in the course design and delivery.Wu Qing, assistant researcher and a Ph. D holder, graduated from the Department of Cultural and Religious studies，the Chinese University of Hong Kong. With experience of visiting and studying in overseas institutions in England, Singapore, Taiwan, etc., Wu is familiar with the current situation of academic in this field. Deng Yongzhong, associate professor and an English language and literature specialist, has long been engaged in teaching and research in the field of Chinese traditional culture and comparative study of Chinese and Western culture. He has gained considerable insight in the world religions culture. This course is suitable for both domestic undergraduates and foreign students who are interested in world religions who aspire to study religious culture. |
