课程介绍	西方文明史课程中文简介本课程是学校新设立的面向全校学生的通识课，内容涉及到西方历史、文化、艺术、社会、政治等各方面知识。本课程的目的是透过西方各阶段的文明发展进程之时、空分析，以及现代人文生活层面的专题形式，来建构西方文明发展的整体脉络，以及认识现代文化的内涵，并启发学生的历史意识与史观批判能力。再者，本课程结合史学、文化人类学、社会学与文学等跨学科领域，让学生掌握古今文明之间的相关性，从历史的观点去分析文化现象，建立文化的主体意识与多元文化的关怀。该门课程对于拓展学生视野、培养其人文思维与素养，建立个人自我认同与社群认同有着重要的意义。 Course Description This course is a newly established general education course for all students in the university, which covers Western history, culture, art, social, political and other knowledge. The purpose of this course is to inspire students to have historical consciousness and critical capabilities through the analysis of the development of Western civilization and understanding the meaning of culture, the various stages of the process of time, space and thematic aspects of modern human life forms. Furthermore, the course combines history, cultural anthropology, sociology and literature and other disciplines, to equip students with the correlation between ancient and modern civilization, from a historical perspective to the analysis of cultural phenomena, to establish cultural and multi-cultural consciousness. This course helps to expand students’ horizons, develop their thinking and cultural literacy.
