1．教学目标：本课程旨在介绍世界贸易组织的基本组织架构和协议架构及其在国际贸易实践中的应用。通过本课程的学习，学生应该养成关注并思考国际贸易摩擦和争端等现实问题、收集相关数据资料、应用所学国际贸易规则及相关经济学概念、思想、理论模型进行理性分析的习惯，形成初步的政治经济学思维逻辑，从经济和政治以及规则等多个角度正确理解现实中的国际贸易纠纷。2．教学要求：（1）本课程属于全英语教学，要求学生具备较高的英语听说读写能力，即能够听懂正常语速的英语讲课，能够用英语提问、回答问题或参与课堂讨论，能够阅读英文教材、教学参考书或其它英语教学资料，能够用英语完成教师布置的作业，能够看懂英语试题并用英语回答问题。（2）本课程试行案例教学法和案例分析辅助学习法，学生分小组完成辅助学习案例分析，因此，要求学生具有团队协作精神和诚实的品质，同时要求学生能够快速阅读英语的贸易经济新闻并提取有用的资料信息，综合所
Course Description
1. Teaching Objectives:This course is intended to introduce the organization structure of the WTO as well as its various agreements and cases. After studying this course, students should form a habit to care about current international trade disputes, collect necessary data, and think about them rationally by employing related agreements, rules and economic theories/models. Students are expected to understand and analyze international trade disputes from different economic and political aspects.Teaching Requirements:(1). This course is taught in English, and thus students are required to have a good command of English. To be specific, students should be able to understand spoken English at a normal speed, to read English legal report and accomplish other in-class or after-class assignments in English.(2). Lectures for this course are based on case studies. Therefore, students are required to have a team work spirit to do a case study perfectly. Students are expected to present their case studies in class in English.(3). This course is a combination of economics and trade rules. Therefore, students are required to have a basic understanding of the economic theories under specific trade rules/agreements. Further, students are expected to be able to read between lines for specific rules.2. Teaching Contents:To master the nondiscrimination principle, fair competition principle, exception to general rules for developing members, anti-dumping and countervailing duties, safeguard measures, rules of origin, actionable and non-actionable agriculture subsidies
