商务英语视听说 课程中文简介
本课程是针对已修完大学英语前三段的外招本科生而设计的一门拓展性课程。本课程注重提高学生在商务情景中的英语听说能力，同时也帮助学生丰富商务知识、培养语感和增强跨文化交际能力。作为一门实用型课程，它将语言活动融入到真实的商务场景之中，让学生学习到从工作、人员、公司到顾客、营销和管理等各种商务有关的话题；同时也可培养学生执行各种交流任务的能力如讨论、谈判和陈述等。本课程教学属典型的任务型模式，个人陈述、角色扮演和小组活动等课堂活动均非常重要。授课老师应将可信度高的商务情景和语言材料导入课堂以保证学生能有正确的语言输出. 除实时的课堂语言活动外，学生还可将布置给他们的角色扮演任务录制成音频或视频并上传至bb学习平台。
Course Description
Business English: viewing, listening and speaking is one of the follow-up courses for the non-mainland undergraduates who have just completed the first three bands of College English. The course aims to improve students’ skills to speak English in business context and to help students gain business knowledge, raise language awareness and enhance the ability of cross- cultural communication. As a practical course, it integrates language tasks with real-life business situations and allows students to learn a variety of business-related topics ranging from job, people, company, to customer, marketing and management. It also allows students to acquire competence in performing various communication tasks such as discussion, negotiation and presentation. The teaching is typically task-based and classroom activities like individual presentation, role playing, and group work are essential. Teachers are therefore required to introduce highly authentic business situations and language input into the class to ensure quality output on students’ part. Besides the real time language activities in class, students are also encouraged to produce either audio or video recordings based on the role- playing tasks assigned to them and then upload them onto the Blackboard learning system for teachers to evaluate.
